Building the Future of Humanitarian Action in Africa

A Permanent Home for Humanitarian Leadership

For more than three decades, the International Islamic Youth League (IIYL) has been dedicated to serving vulnerable communities through humanitarian relief, education, healthcare, water and sanitation, youth development, orphan care, emergency response, and sustainable community development across Africa.

As our programmes continue to expand, the need for a permanent international headquarters has become increasingly important.

The IIYL International Headquarters & Humanitarian Coordination Centre in Freetown, Sierra Leone, will serve as the organisation's global operational hub, strengthening humanitarian coordination, emergency preparedness, leadership development, innovation, and strategic partnerships.

This landmark project represents an investment in the future of humanitarian action and will enable IIYL to respond more effectively to emergencies while building stronger, more resilient communities across Africa.

Our Vision

To establish a modern humanitarian coordination centre that empowers communities, strengthens partnerships, and supports sustainable development across Africa.

The headquarters will provide a permanent base for planning, coordination, capacity building, research, innovation, and humanitarian logistics.
