The International Islamic Youth (IIYL) is a vital membership in the inter agencies coordinating emergency response body, through it’s smart and responsible partner-Muslim Aid UK provided funds for the provision of 600 bags of rice and 600 5-litre container vegetable oil and 120bags of sugar, 600 sets Non-food items (including soap, cooking pot, Mosquito nets, and blanket) to 600 vulnerable households including pregnant women and children out of over 1,000 Households affected in the areas. IIYL with established institutional disaster response linkages with The Direction General for Civil Protection (DGPC) coordinated the emergency with the Local authorities of the communes-The deputy Majors of the municipalities-who have shown and expressed appreciation for the provision of humanitarian relief to vulnerable Flood victims in their municipalities.
