The international Islamic Youth League  is one  of  the  key  leading   humanitarian  on-governmental  non-ethnic organisation,  providing minimum  Standards  of protection  and assistance to refugees, returnees and internally displaced persons in the areas of Water and Sanitation, Education, Primary Health Care Delivery services, Food aid, Agricultural support, orphan support and other community development services assistance in a drive of repatriation, resettlement, reconstruction and emergency relief and disasters response worldwide to alleviate the lives of affected people of both natural and human disasters.

Furthermore the organisation  is registered with government of Sierra Leone  through the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, not with standing this fact, the organisation has been implementing programme in partnership with the National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) of the Government of Sierra Leone, and the organisation had MoU and Sub agreements with the United Nations Specialise Agencies in Sierra Leone such as United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), United Nation World Food Programme (WFP), United Nation Children Fund and the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nation (FAO) in respective in camps and ongoing reintegration of Sierra Leonean returnees in their communities  of origin. Despite activities with the UN system and government bodies, it works in partnership with other humanitarian and development organisation in and outside in the spread of humanitarian and charity support programmes to disadvantage children and destitute people etc. the organisation has code of conduct signature with the International Federation of Red Cross and Crescent organisation for disasters response worldwide and its member of the Union of NGOs of Islamic World in Turkey implementing partner of the Islamic Solidarity Fund of the Organisation (OIC)
